Join the stars of the classic Hammer Horror films for an afternoon of stories from behind the scenes, Caroline Munro, Valerie Leon, Martine Beswick and Pauline Peart will be appearing in person for discussion, classic films clips and Q&A. There will be a meet & greet and signings after the event.
Us comedy fans know Valerie for her six Carry On appearances - in Up The Khyber, Camping, Again Doctor, Jungle, Matron and Girls. Valerie also appeared with the likes of Ronnie Corbett, Morecambe and Wise and Frankie Howerd. She also co-starred in two James Bond pictures, worked with Roger Moore in The Saint and The Persuaders and with Peter Sellers in The Pink Panther. Pauline Peart also has a Carry On connection, having played one of the glamorous beauty queen contestants in 1973's Carry On Girls.
Best selling author (Dracula The Un-Dead, The Forgotten Writings Of Bram Stoker and Dracul), Dracula historian and great grand nephew of Bram Stoker; Dacre Stoker returns to Whitby to unveil the latest twists to the Dracula story. If you are a fan of Dracula, and have not seen Dacre before, then is a MUST SEE!!!
Dacre presents clips and discusses his unique insight into Bram's inspiration and will be hosting a Q&A.
This event runs from 1pm with an interval inbetween. The theatre bar will be open before and after the show and the meet & greets will be held afterwards in the the theatre bar area.

The actress Pauline Peart celebrates her birthday today. Many happy returns to her. Pauline is probably best remembered for her appearance in the 1973 film, Carry On Girls. Pauline played beauty contest entrant Gloria Winch and is featured in many iconic scenes from that film, suffering for her art along with the likes of Maggie Nolan, Barbara Windsor and Valerie Leon in the climatic contest which goes so horribly wrong!
Although only a small part player in the film, the statuesque Ms Peart definitely stands out. Pauline's career came to an end by the end of the 1970s however she also appeared in the classic Hammer Horror film, The Satanic Rites of Dracula and, the year after Carry On Girls, cropped up in the big screen version of the very successful sitcom, Man About the House.
Further credits include an episode of The Galton and Simpson Playhouse, the Sean Connery film Cuba and The Firechasers. And good news for Carry On fans, as Pauline will be making a very rare public appearance at The Film and Comic Fair this December. More details can be found here .

still going strong. On Saturday, 2nd December the Film Fair will be
taking place at the Conway Hall, London. And this time around there is a strong Carry On
connection to the line up.
Yes, the lovely Madeline Smith, who I interviewed
last year will be in attendance to sign autographs and meet fans. Among
Madeline's most famous films are of course Carry On Matron, Up Pompeii,
Up The Front and Live and Let Die as well as classic horror films
Theatre of Blood, Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell, The Vampire
Lovers and Taste The Blood of Dracula.
Also, making a very rare appearance at a convention, if not her first, is the actress Pauline Peart.
Pauline appeared in Carry On Girls in 1973, playing beauty contest
