If you are a fan of Kenneth Williams then don't forget to tune into the wonderful BBC Radio 4 Extra tomorrow morning for a celebration of the great man. As I've already blogged, Monday 22 February would have been Kenneth's 90th birthday and 4 Extra are giving over three hours on Saturday morning as a tribute.
The show "Williams on the Wireless" will feature contributions from biographer Christopher Stevens, actor Robin Sebastian and the editor of Williams' diaries Russell Davies. There will also be classic programmes and clips including:
On the Trail of Ramblin' Syd
A new programme where Robin Sebastian traces the origins and impact of the West Country folk singer
Hancock's Half Hour - The Television Set
Galton and Simpson comedy where living in the only house in Railway Cuttings without a telly, the lad takes action. From 1955.
Round the Horne
a classic episode from the popular 1960's radio series starring Kenneth Williams
Just a Minute
An unique episode with Kenneth Williams as chairman and Nicholas Parsons as panellist
Diary of A Mad Man
A rare and rather wonderful piece of Kenneth Williams archive with his brilliant interpretation of Nikolai Gogol's farcical short story
The Very Best of Ramblin' Syd Rumpo
A special concert recorded in 1970 in front of a live studio audience at Abbey Road Studios in London.

I am particularly looking forward to hearing the Diary of A Mad Man - I've read about this performance before but never heard it. The Ramblin' Syd concert is also a new one for me so all in all plenty to look forward to!
Williams on the Wireless will air tomorrow morning from 9am on BBC Radio 4 Extra. The programme will be available to "listen again" shortly after the original broadcast.
