So every day I will bring you another cracking Carry On photo with a festive theme. They will probably all be rather naughty, but hopefully all quite nice.
1972 saw the third and in my opinion, the weakest of all the Carry On Christmas television specials. This time the festive episode was called Carry On Stuffing and although the three main Carry On ladies get starring roles (Jacques, Sims and Windsor) it's a pretty lacklustre affair and smacks more of low grade Benny Hill than prime Carry On. Nevertheless, the cast also features the likes of Kenneth Connor, Peter Butterworth, Brian Oulton and Norman Rossington.
It is a loose series of sketches based around a Christmas party in a country house with Kenneth Connor the master of ceremonies. The show lacks the presence of Sid, Charles and Terry Scott. Sadly this episode marked the end of Hawtrey's long association with the Carry Ons in a dispute over billing (and other things). It will always be something that overshadows this special.
Never mind though, it looks as though Kenneth Connor enjoyed his scenes with the gorgeous Valerie Leon!
What a Carry On at Christmas!
